Bhangarh Fort - The Most Haunted Fort in India

The Bhangarh Fort is located on the border of the Sariska Reserve in the Aravali range of hills in Alwar district of Rajasthan. The fort is situated at the foot of the hills on sloping terrain. The ruins of the King’s palace are located on the lower slope of the hills; trees surround the pond area and a natural stream falls into the pond within the premises of the palace.
The fort is located 235 kilometres (146 mi) from Delhi and the approach to the entrance gate of the fort in the last 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) stretch of the road is an unpaved road. The fort is 20 miles (32 km) from Thana Ghazi. The nearest airport is Jaipur International Airport which is 88.2 kilometres from the fort.

Story:

Once upon a time, a wizard who was adept in black magic fell in love with Ratnavati, the princess of Bhangarh. She was very beautiful and had suitors to marry her from many royal families of the country. One day the princess, at 18 years of age, went shopping with her friends and was buying Ittar (scent). The wizard saw this and replaced the scent with a love potion in order to ensnare the princess. He offered the potion to her so that she would take a liking to him and marry him. However, the princess sensed the wizard's trickery. When he offered her the bowl of potion, she threw it onto a big boulder nearby. As a result, the boulder started rolling down towards the wizard and crushed him. Before he died, he made a curse that Bhangarh would be destroyed soon and no one would be able to live within its precincts. Subsequently, Bhangarh Fort was invaded by the Mughals from the north and the city was surrounded and sacked .10,000 people lived in the fort city at that time. All the people in the fort, including the princess, were killed. The present state of the fort is attributed to the curse of the wizard and people believe the ghosts in the fort are those of the princess and the wizard. Villagers believed that the princess will be reborn somewhere and if she visits the fort, the curse will break down.

Chand Baori- remember Batman Dark Knight Rises-Prison Escape Scene

Chand Baori in Abhaneri, near Jaipur, Rajasthan, is among the largest, if not the largest, of the stepwells. It is also perhaps the most visually spectacular: Chand Baori is a deep four-sided structure with an immense temple on one face. Some 3,500 Escher-esqe terraced steps march down the other three sides 13 stories to a depth of 100 feet. The construction dates to the 10th century and is dedicated to Harshat Mata, goddess of joy and happiness.

Chance to see Two Brothers Movie Heroes ( tigers)

  • Two Brothers – This family-friendly story about two tigers had some scenes made in Samut Prakan Province, at a tourist site called Mueang Boran (Ancient City), which has scaled-down replicas of many of Thailand's important structures. The Tigers used in the film were from the Si Racha Tiger Zoo near Pattaya. The film was set in neighbouring Cambodia, and many locations were used there was well.

Animal Encounters @ Pattaya

If people are not faint-hearted they can actually enter the enclosures and experience unbelievable close encounters with these Tigers. The staff succeed in convincing them that these fantastic animals are not aggressive in their interactions with people. As a Wildlife lover, I do not encourage these type of activities unless they won't be tortured.
